Rastafari Movement
Rastafarian or a Rasta is not a religion, but a way of life. They live with only the necessities of life, because as Thoreau said " the more have are the such poorer you are" ( 61). The Rastafarian Movement is a christian culture that began on the island of Jamaica in the 1930's. Rastas worshiped Haile Selassie I of Ethiopia, whom they think is the reincarnation of Jah (God). Rastafarians believe that Africa is the Homeland of their people, and soon they all return back to their homeland.
